THE GOAL
Our Foundation “Holland Water Goes Africa” primary goal is to teach the local population in Africa in an ancient Chinese method of drilling water wells for fresh water. This method is simple, relatively inexpensive, can be deployed using local resources and stimulates the local population to drill for new water wells in their area.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our Crown Prince Willem Alexander is presently chairman of the UN advisory board for water and sanitation facilities and since we live and work with water in the Netherlands, water has inspired us for this project. Since the larger organizations focus on areas with high population density, we want to focus on more remote areas where the density is less but the need for water is just as important!
